HapticSOUND
An analysis, documentation and demonstration system for traditional musical instruments at the Cretan Ethnology Museum
The HapticSOUND system consists of the following subsystems:
- Briefing Subsystem (BSS): visitors are informed about the traditional musical instruments, by viewing relevant texts, videos, photos or three-dimensional (3D) models, and listening to music samples.
- Interaction Subsystem (ISS): visitors interact with exact replicas of musical instruments (products of 3D printing)
- Entertainment Subsystem (ESS): visitors are entertained by using serious games to virtually assemble traditional musical instruments from a set of 3D objects
